My next Remarkable guest is Kirsty Salisbury, the Auckland based owner of The Publishing Launch Pad www.thepublishinglaunchpad.com and host of the popular podcast “Let’s Talk Near Death”. https://www.letstalkneardeath.com

As Kirsty herself says, her podcast is not your usual Friday night conversation topic! Having had her own near death experience at twelve years old, she put it out of her mind - well, until she couldn’t anymore - and has since embraced her story and now helps others do the same. There are more out there than you realise as evidenced by her popular podcast.

Author of the book ‘Dying Well’ she focuses on what you want for your death, as well as how you want to be remembered after you die?  So many of us assume it only  happens to old or sick people. However, it happens every single day, but not everyone wants to talk about it. Kirsty’s  book is very practical, thoughtful and nurturing, as she knows first hand what it’s like to be left behind without all the information that you need. Family members often don’t want to broach the subject as they don’t know where to start or they don’t want to upset their loved one. Coming from her role as a  Death Coach and Death Doula as well as her role as a Life Coach, this book will help immensely.  The truth is, 'we are not going to get out of life, alive' so why don’t we embrace the elephant in the room now?

Her publishing business, The Publishing Launch Pad, is all about bringing our stories to the surface through publishing books, blogs, podcasts and more. When we embrace our story, we embrace our life.

I could have sat there talking to Kirsty all day about her unique perspective on life and death. Owning her story and following the nudges from life have opened doors she didn’t know existed.  Telling stories is Kirsty’s way of being there for others as they honour their own stories.

I can’t wait for you to listen in for yourself!
